Overview
This policy explains what personal information Alto Pro Painters collects when you use this website, why we collect it and what we do with it. We have tried to keep it plain. It applies to our website and to the quote form and phone enquiries that come through it. We aim to handle your information in line with Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), where they apply.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to give us. When you fill out the quote form, we ask for the following.
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The service you are interested in
- Your town
- A message describing the job
- Photos, if you choose to upload them
Please keep photos and messages to what the job needs
Photos help us scope a job, but please avoid sending images that show people, documents or anything else personal. Photos of walls, ceilings, cabinets and exteriors are all we need. If a photo includes something you did not mean to share, tell us and we will remove it.
Why we collect it
We use your information to respond to your request, prepare a free written quote, contact you about the job, and arrange the pre-job call and any visit. We may also use it to follow up on a quote you have received. We do not use it for anything unrelated, and we do not collect more than we need to answer your request.
Who handles your information
Quote requests are stored and managed in GoHighLevel, a customer relationship management (CRM) platform that we use to receive and track enquiries. GoHighLevel acts as a service provider that processes information on our behalf. Its servers may be located outside Canada, which means your information may be stored or processed in another country and be subject to the laws there.
We may also share the details of your request with the people who need them to carry out the work you asked about, such as a painter assigned to your job. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent it or trade it to anyone for marketing.
Phone calls and website use
If you call us, we may note down the details of the conversation so we can follow up on your request. We do not take payment information through this website. Like most sites, this one may use cookies or similar tools for basic functions and to understand how pages are used. You can adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies, though some features may not work as well afterward.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as it is needed to respond to your request, carry out any work, and keep reasonable business records. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous. If you would like us to delete your information sooner, ask us and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
How we protect it
We limit access to the people who need your information to deal with your request, and we use reputable service providers to store it. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that information sent over the internet will never be intercepted or accessed by someone else. If you would rather not send details online, call us instead.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and withdraw your consent to our use of it, subject to legal or contractual limits. You can also ask questions about how we handle your information. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
Contact us about privacy
