Most interior jobs in West Kelowna start with one tired room and end with three more on the list. A bedroom with scuffed walls, a hallway that never got repainted after the last move, a kitchen where the trim has yellowed. We paint all of it, one room or the whole house, and we plan the order so you are never living in a house with every door taken off at once.
The visible part of an interior job is the roller. The part that decides whether it looks good a year later is what happens before it: filling nail holes, sanding the patches flat, caulking the gaps along trim, and priming anything that would otherwise show through. That is where we spend our time, and it is spelled out in the written quote.
What an interior job here covers
- Walls and ceilings in living areas, bedrooms and hallways
- Baseboards, casings, doors and window trim in semi-gloss
- Stairwells and open-concept rooms that need cutting in along tall lines
- Basement rooms and in-law suites that have not been painted since they were finished
- Colour changes, including dark-to-light jobs that need a primer coat
- Rooms handed back clean, with furniture put back where it started
Interiors on the hills above the lake
West Kelowna spreads along the west side of Okanagan Lake, with many homes on the hillsides above the water. Hillside houses tend to have stairs, split levels and tall windows, and that changes how an interior job is planned. Tall stairwell walls need proper scaffolding or ladders set up safely, and we allow for that in the schedule instead of rushing it.
Big windows also mean strong light in the rooms, which shows every roller mark and uneven patch. We lean toward a matte or eggshell finish on large walls for that reason, and we suggest looking at your sample colour on the wall in morning and evening light. If you are also thinking about the outside, see our exterior painting in West Kelowna page.

How we run an interior job
- Walk the rooms. We look at each wall under the lights you actually live with, note the damage, and write the quote around what we see.
- Settle the details. Before the start date we phone to confirm colours, sheen and what needs to be cleared from the rooms.
- Protect and repair. Floors and furniture get covered, holes and cracks are filled, patches are sanded, and trim is caulked.
- Paint and hand back. Primer goes on stains and patches, then the finish coats. We walk through with you while the paint is fresh and touch up before we clean.
The full process, prep and pricing factors are on our main interior painting page.
Interior Painting in West Kelowna: questions
Do I have to empty the room before you arrive?
No. Small items, art and anything fragile should come off the walls and surfaces. We move and cover the larger furniture ourselves, and we tell you on the pre-job call exactly what to clear.
Can you paint over dark colours without three coats?
Sometimes one primer coat does the job and sometimes it takes more. A deep red or navy going to white is the usual hard case, so we check the existing colour at the quote and say how many coats to expect.
What sheen should I pick for a hallway with kids and pets?
Eggshell or satin wipes clean without looking shiny. Flat hides bumps better but marks more easily, so we usually keep it for ceilings and low-traffic bedrooms.
