Residential painting is the broadest job we do, because a home is rarely just walls. It is a kitchen, a deck, a garage, a basement suite, and a list of small things that have been waiting for a free weekend. In West Kelowna we treat the whole property as one project, even when you only want part of it done now.
Some owners hand us the full house and want one start date and one finish date. Others do a room at a time over a couple of years. Either way, we keep the same colour notes and sheen choices on file in the quote, so the next stage matches the last.
What a whole-home plan can include
- Every interior room, ceilings and trim included
- The exterior walls, soffits, fascia and doors
- Decks, fences and railings that belong to the property
- Garage and utility spaces that were skipped last time
- Drywall patching and wallpaper removal when walls need it
- A phased schedule if you want the work split across seasons
Houses, townhomes and everything between
West Kelowna is made up of houses on hillside lots, townhomes, and lower-level suites, all across the west side of Okanagan Lake. Each type has its own planning questions. A townhome may have shared walls and a strata council to notify. A detached house may have long exterior runs and a lot of stairs to work around.
Because homes here are often a mix of ages, we ask when yours was built before anything else. Health Canada says lead paint is probable in homes built before 1960 and possible from 1960 to 1990, so for older homes we plan testing before any sanding or scraping. If you only want one part done, start with a West Kelowna exterior painting quote and add rooms later.
Tell us who lives in the house and what a normal day looks like. Someone working from home, a toddler’s nap, or a dog that needs the yard all change what we can paint when, and we would rather know before the schedule is set.

How a larger home project is organised
- List everything. We make one list of rooms, surfaces and outside areas, and you mark what is urgent and what can wait.
- Choose the order. Outside work follows the weather, inside work fills the gaps, and we agree which comes first.
- Work zone by zone. We finish one area before opening the next, so the household never loses every room at the same moment.
- Final tour. We go through the whole home with you, mark touch-ups, fix them, and clean up after you sign off.

Residential Painting in West Kelowna: questions
Can I stay in the house while you paint?
Usually yes. We work zone by zone and keep paths clear. If you have breathing sensitivities or an infant, tell us and we will plan ventilation and room order around it.
Is it cheaper to do the inside and outside together?
Not always, but one mobilisation and one set of prep days is more efficient than two. We show each part as its own line so you can compare.
Do you handle a rental suite in the same house?
Yes. A basement suite can be done on its own schedule so a tenant is not disturbed longer than necessary.
