Tell us about light switches, vents and wall-mounted fixtures early. They are easy to work around when we plan the layout and awkward to fix once a drop of pricey paper is already on the wall.

Hanging a wall, start to finish

Measure and plan. We check wall height and width, find the pattern repeat, and order extra so a run is never cut short.
Prepare the wall. Holes are filled, the surface is sanded smooth and a primer or sizing coat is applied and left to dry.
Hang and smooth. Each drop is lined up with the last, pressed flat and trimmed, working from the plumb line we set first.
Check and finish. We inspect the seams in daylight, press down any lifting edges, and clear all the offcuts.

How much extra paper should I buy?

Patterned rolls need more than plain ones because of the repeat. We calculate it from your room measurements, and we suggest keeping a spare roll for later repairs.

Can wallpaper go in a bathroom?

Some papers handle humidity and some do not. If the room has a good fan and the paper is rated for moisture, it can work. We check the product before the job.

Will wallpaper damage the wall when it comes off?

A properly primed wall releases the paper much more cleanly. That is why we size the wall first, and why we recommend it even for a small feature wall.
