If you live in Summerland and the inside of your house is tired, the walls are usually the first thing you notice. Scuffs beside the light switches, a tan stain over the stove, nail holes from pictures you took down two moves ago. We repaint those rooms, and we do the patching that has to happen before any colour goes on.
Most Summerland interior jobs we hear about fall into two kinds. Some are single rooms, such as a bedroom that never got its second coat or a hallway that takes daily traffic. The others are whole-house repaints where every wall, ceiling and door gets done in one planned stretch so you are not living with half a house of ladders.
What an interior job here can cover
- Walls and ceilings in living areas, bedrooms and hallways
- Kitchens and bathrooms, where moisture and grease call for a tougher finish
- Baseboards, casings, window trim and interior doors
- Stairwells and entries that need a longer ladder and extra care
- Basement rooms and suites with older, patched drywall
- Spot priming over water marks, smoke or crayon before topcoats
Painting inside a lakeside orchard town
Summerland sits on the west side of Okanagan Lake, just north of Penticton, and a lot of its homes face the water or the orchards. A view that opens a room up also means strong light moving across the walls all day, which shows every roller mark and patch if the prep was rushed. That is why we look at a wall in raking light before we agree on a sheen.
For a bright, south-facing room a flat or matte finish usually hides surface flaws best. Where the walls get touched, think kids’ rooms and the kitchen, a wipeable eggshell or satin earns its keep. Trim and doors are different again, and semi-gloss holds up to hands and cleaning. We talk through those choices room by room when we write the quote.

How a Summerland interior job runs
- Walk-through. We look at each room with you, note the damage and the colours you have in mind, and write it all into the quote.
- Pre-job call. A few days before we arrive we confirm colours and finishes and tell you what to clear from the rooms.
- Prep day. Floors get covered, furniture is moved and draped, holes and cracks are filled, and stains are primed so they do not bleed through.
- Paint and finish. Ceilings first, then walls, then trim. We finish with a walkthrough while the paint is fresh and clean up after you sign off.

Interior Painting in Summerland: questions
Do I have to move all my furniture before you arrive?
No. Clear what you can, such as shelves and small items, and we will move and cover the larger pieces. We tell you on the pre-job call exactly what to clear.
Can you paint just one room in a Summerland house?
Yes. A single room is a normal job. If you plan to do other rooms later, mention it and we will note the colour and sheen so they match.
What if my home was built before 1990?
Tell us the year. Health Canada says lead paint is probable before 1960 and possible from 1960 to 1990, so we plan testing before any sanding or scraping.
