Most people who call about residential painting do not have one job. They have a list: the dated kitchen, the peeling garage door, the stained ceiling over the stairs, the fence nobody wants to think about. We take on whole-home painting for Lake Country households and put that list into a single plan so the work happens in a sensible order.
That plan is the free written quote. It sets out what gets painted, in which sequence, what repairs come first and how long each stage should take.
What a whole-home plan can include
- Interior walls, ceilings, trim and doors across the whole house
- Exterior siding, trim, fascia and garage doors
- Drywall patching and crack repair before paint goes on
- Kitchen and bathroom refinishing where cabinets or vanities are in scope
- Decks and fences that belong to the same property
- A staged schedule so you can live in the house while work moves through it
Planning around how families really use a house
Lake Country stretches between Kelowna and Vernon beside Wood Lake and Kalamalka Lake, and the homes here range from family houses to places people use mainly in summer. A full-time household and a seasonal one need different schedules, so the first question we ask is when the house is free.
For a busy family we often paint the outside first while the weather holds and move indoors afterward, since interior work is not weather-dependent. For a house that sits empty part of the year, we can do everything in a tight block while no one is there to step around drop sheets.
If you are unsure what order things should happen in, ask. The wrong sequence, such as painting a ceiling after the walls, creates rework, and avoiding that is part of what the plan is for.
Expect honesty about priorities. If the budget will not stretch to everything, we would rather help you decide what protects the house first, such as failing exterior paint, and leave cosmetic rooms for a later stage instead of cutting prep on all of it.

From first call to final sign-off
- Build the list together. At the quote visit you tell us everything on your wish list and we mark what is essential, what is nice and what can wait.
- Sequence the stages. We propose an order, usually repairs first, then outdoor work, then rooms, so earlier stages do not get scuffed by later ones.
- Work through the house. Each stage has its own prep and clean-up, and we tell you before moving to the next so nothing surprises you.
- Close out with one walkthrough. When everything is finished we walk the whole property with you, touch up, and clean up after sign-off.
The full process, prep and pricing factors are on our main residential painting page.
Residential Painting in Lake Country: questions
Can I split the work across two seasons?
Yes. Many households do the exterior this year and the interior later. We can price both in one quote and book them as separate stages.
Who do I talk to during a long job?
You deal with the same person from the quote to the final walkthrough, and the pre-job call sets how and when we update you.
If I only have a budget in mind, can you work to it?
Tell us the number when you request the quote. We can show which rooms or surfaces give the most change for the money and which ones can wait.
